My Mission
To teach your child (or you) how to swim in a fun, loving, and positive way.
For each and every child to be water-safe.
My Philosophy
Kids need to have fun but they also need to learn the skills. I am able to accomplish this during each lesson.
We'll play games, we'll put our faces in the water, we'll learn how to blow bubbles, we'll learn how to be safe around the pool deck, we'll learn how to enter and exit a pool safely, we'll learn how to float on our back, we'll learn how to float on our tummies, we'll learn how to kick, we'll learn how to tread, we'll learn how to "bob", we'll learn how to push off the wall, we'll learn how to take a breath while swimming, we'll learn how to dive, and most importantly, we'll learn how to swim!
My Experience
I have been teaching swimming lessons for over 20 years. While attending college and earning my degree in physical education, I would travel to private homes and estates in Beverly Hills and Santa Monica to teach lessons. I have also worked at swim schools, junior colleges, sportsclubs, and for ten years, I coached all levels at a year-round USA swim team.
In all my years of experience, I find that private lessons are the most effective. I take pride in my ability to be flexible during the lesson allowing each child (or you) to progress at their own speed and in their own unique way. We work together as a team - doing whatever works best - to achieve the correct, desired results.
